Managing cooling and freezing installations
As the owner or manager of a cooling installation, you want to get the maximum return from your installation in a responsible manner. You must also comply with Dutch regulations. For example, you are responsible for the cooling installation and the condition in which it is in. You must be able to demonstrate that the installation has been properly maintained and repaired. During an inspection, for example by an environmental official, you must be able to show the relevant maintenance certificates or the logbook.
Logbook refrigeration and freezing installations
All refrigeration and freezing installations containing 3 kg or more of refrigerant are accompanied by a logbook. This contains information about the installations and facts are stated about maintenance and service. The administrator of the installation is responsible for this logbook. This logbook must be kept during installation. Installations should be checked regularly. Maintenance should be carried out regularly. For small installations annually, for larger ones a few times a year.
